Athelian Apprentices Association was founded in 1987 and presently has a membership of over 100.

Ex Athel Line Apprentices and Deck Cadets form the greater part of the membership. Honorary Membership has been awarded to a number of Athelian Engineers and previous Head Office Senior Management.

The membership is world-wide, with members coming from Great Britain, Eire, Germany, Holland, USA, Canada, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
